Hello Fellow FAs!

A few days ago the Senate decided to move forward with a vote on Fast Track legislation for the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP). For those of you unfamiliar with the trade deal, here is a clever and informative video

We expect the House to see the same legislation hit the floor in the next month. We need to double down our efforts to ensure this trade deal does not pass.
Please write and call you representatives and tell them to Stop Fast Track! You can call 888-966-9836 to be directed to your representative's office. If you'd like to write a letter you can place it in my V-File and I will get it to AFA International Office to have it hand delivered to the Capitol.
I'll be in the PHL crewroom on Monday and DCA crewroom on Tuesday. I'd love to answer any questions and further explain why TPP and specifically Fast Track is bad for all of us. Please stop by, sign a letter and make a call.  Let's stop fast track!
If you have any questions and can't see us in the crew room, feel free to call, text or email me anytime.
Thank you,
Cindy Sjoquist
My fellow flying partners,
I wanted to take this time to share with you that I had a positive and informative meeting with the Director of Inflight, Director of Safety and Asst Director of Maintenance on May 7, 2015 in MKE. I discussed many of your issues and concerns regarding our day to day on the aircraft.
I like to pin point that writing up discrepancies in the cabin is what I want and need with pictures, if possible. I do applaud all that has been able to reach out to me and continue doing so.  I can't express any harder how important it is to continue this and have this communication with your crew to get things written up because remember we work in the cabin up to 14 hours, 4 to 6 days straight. Over time things breaks and get worn out. Also let me know if you are not getting both Preliminary and Final report from the agents, its IMPORTANT. Also the agents MUST write the passenger count, child, lap and jump seater on the Final report, not just give you a verbal passenger count. Their count and yours must MATCH.  Also when you are not sure of something in your cabin take a picture send it to me with the A/C number and I'll look into it. This is why I'm here. I need these findings so I can take take to company. And last and not least I need you guys to understand the importance of an irregularity report. If you have trouble filling one out you can even send me a email. Just because your CA is going to do one, you too must fill one out as as well especially if it involved you and your workspace. When the pilots fill one out it doesn't come to me at all, so therefore I'm in the dark.  Please share with me what you endure during your trips.  I am the Health and Safety chair for you.
Thank you,
Sabine Pierre
